EPIC School Principal

Jennifer Kaufman, M.A.Ed.L., M.S.E.T., is the EPIC School Principal, author, and a lifelong Bergen County resident. Ms. Kaufman started her career as an English teacher, then spent 10 years as an Assistive Technology Coordinator in addition to English Teacher and Technology Teacher. It was during this time that Ms. Kaufman saw the impact that the right environment, a caring staff and the appropriate program and supports have on the lives of students who learn differently.

She went on to earn her Master’s of Science degree in Educational Technology from Ramapo College (where she served as an adjunct professor), followed by her Master’s of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University. Since that time, Ms. Kaufman has served as Principal at special needs schools, expanding programs to include both high school and ABA specific classrooms.

Drawing from her extensive professional experience in special education and her personal journey as the grandmother of a child on the autism spectrum, Ms. Kaufman authored “Grandparenting on the Spectrum: A Journey from Both Sides of the Desk.”
