Sadly, on September 21, 2020, Dr. José Martinez-Diaz passed away and EPIC, along with the the field of Behavior Analysis, lost a tremendous friend, colleague and leader. Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz, a founding member of EPIC’s Professional Advisory Panel, was the Head of Florida Tech’s School of Behavior Analysis, which he founded and CEO of ABA Technologies, Inc., a company specializing in instructional design and technology. Dr. Martinez-Diaz was a Senior Consultant for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), the BACB liaison to the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA), and a member of APBA’s Board of Directors. While Dr. Martinez-Diaz’s impact and legacy will undoubtably continue, he will be missed by EPIC for his kindness, laughter, love of music, love of sushi, and heartfelt laughter.
